LIC (Life Insurance Corporation) was founded in 1956 under the Life Insurance of India Act 1956. The Information Regarding Exam

LIC notify about the recruitment of LIC assistant on their official website. The eligible and interested job aspirants can apply online for the post through online application. The tentative date for application for assistance in LIC starts from the last week of April 2022 to the last week of May 2022. The assistant is expected to perform various clerical jobs, including Single Window Operator, cashier, customer service executive and other duties. To apply for the post, you must possess a bachelor`s degree in any stream from a recognized university, and your age must be above eighteen and below thirty. Five years of age relaxation is applicable to SC/ST candidates and three years for OBC candidates.

 

The Fee

The application fee for general and other candidates is INR 510, for SC/ST candidates INR85. The fee must be deposited online using net banking or a debit/credit card. The recruitment is a two-tier process, prelim followed by mains then a medical test of the candidate. You must be well prepared to crack the two-phase exam and well familiar with the syllabus and pattern of the exam.

The Duration

The duration of the prelim exam is one hour consisting of hundred questions on three segments with a total mark of one hundred. Unlike banking exams, there is no negative marking for wrong answers. Reasoning and numeric ability come with thirty-five questions, each with a total mark of thirty-five for each segment; the duration is twenty minutes for each paper. English or Hindi paper consists of thirty questions with thirty marks, and the duration is twenty minutes.

 

The Main Exam

Mains exam is held online with five papers, the maximum score of two hundred, and the time allotted is one hundred fifty minutes. In the main exam, 1/4th mark is deducted for wrong answers. The reasoning and computer aptitude paper consists of forty questions with maximum marks of forty. Quantitative aptitude, general/financial awareness, English, Hindi all papers come with forty questions with maximum marks of forty, duration of all papers except quantitative aptitude is thirty minutes, that of is forty minutes. The minimum qualifying marks for general candidates in all papers is sixteen, which is relaxed to fourteen for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
