The story focuses on a group of four friends who get sucked into the dangerous world of Jumanji through a video game and have to clear a set of trials and tribulations in order to return back to their world. The movie is a fabulous mixture of action and comedy set in a lush tropical setting, and a wonderful cast to back it up with legends like Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, and Kevin Hart with Karren Gillan and Nick Jonas.

Directed by Jake Kasdan and written by Chris Mckenna and Eric Sommers it was a huge success on the box office collecting almost 962 million in revenue. It is a fun-filled right perfect for a sleepover flick, and after completing this watchers should also consider its sequel which is even more fun with inclusions of legends like Danny DeVito.

Charlie’s Angels

This is one of those classic early 2000s movies which still invokes a sense of nostalgia. A movie that was a go-to film at every girl’s sleepover, and still holds its ground as being a fun action comedy film. Charlie’s Angels were the continuation of the TV series of the same name that ran from 1976 to 1981. The film revolves around a group of girls working in a private detective agency run by their mysterious boss Charlie. The film was a financial success and collected 264 million. This launched a sequel which was released in 2003. The relevancy of this franchise can be witnessed in the form that the latest entry of this series acting as more of a reboot was released in 2019. With a new cast and under the direction of Elizabeth Banks but wasn’t successful as it was not able to hold up the legacy of the original film. Grown Ups

This is the boy’s version of Charlie’s Angels but with all comedy and guys doing guy stuff. Well, this is expected from an Adam Sandler film who starred alongside big names of comedy like Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, and a supporting cast of Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, and Maya Rudolph.

It is an out-an-out comedy that revolves around a group of lifelong friends who reunite after a long time due because of the death of their basketball coach. This film shows how guys in their 40s but still being teenagers inside spend their 4th of July weekend. The film was produced by Sandler and despite not getting favorable reviews from critics became a box office success earning 271 million.

Grown Ups is considered to be one of the best Adam Sandler films in comparison to the content he makes today. It is one of the comedy gems of the 2010s era and is part of most comedy films list. The film was so successful that it also spawned a sequel in 2013 however, the original is still considered a classic and has gathered a cult following. A movie which should be on the list of every all-boys party or sleepover, because no matter the age boys will remain boys and this film is for all those boys whether in their 20s or 50s.
