What is a Carrier Extract?

A carrier extract originates from the raw sources of seeds or nuts which are used in combination with essential extracts to make it capable of being used. In comparison to essential extracts, carrier extracts are adaptable meaning they can be used alone or in combination with other sources. Even though essential extracts are incredibly strong, carriers have their strong points as well. Examples of carrier extracts include olive, coconut, jojoba, macadamia and as we’re seeing today, Grapeseed Oil. Grapeseed Oil on its own poses incredible advantages such as skin enhancement, hair moisture, and as a relaxant for stressful situations. With all these jam-packed benefits, this extract is used in a variety of different products which we will see in the next few sections.
