Of course, there are other great platforms that lots of people use. Now, the question is, what series are the most popular amongst them?

  1. Schitt’s Creek

Schitt’s Creek, released in 2015, can now be found on Netflix. It lasted for six seasons and became a popular sitcom.

It’s about a wealthy family that lost everything and must move to a small backwoods town. They must live in a motel and struggle to adapt.

After some time, they begin to create new lives and immerse themselves in the town. They eventually find themselves becoming stronger as a family and their bonds grow.

  1. The Office

The Office streams on Peacock and was released in 2005, airing for nine seasons. The cast stars Steve Carell, John Krasinski, and Jenna Fischer.

This series works as a documentary and follows the workspace of a paper company, Dunder Mifflin. Michael Scott, the office manager, finds himself struggling with being the best boss possible.

His quirks often get him in trouble and he looks to his employees for guidance. The rest of the office is usually pranking, fighting, or gossiping amongst each other.

  1. The Good Place

Starring Kristen Bell, The Good Place came out in 2016 and can now be found on Netflix. It only lasted four seasons, but that didn’t stop it from having a strong following.

The Good Place is about Elanor Shellstrop’s journey in the afterlife. After living a shameful life on earth, she’s relieved when she finds herself in “The Good Place.”

She then learns a mix-up has happened and she’s not supposed to be there. Eleanor tries to fit in but soon decides she’d like to change her life for the better with the help of her newfound neighbors.

  1. Stranger Things

Stranger Things, one of the best Netflix shows, is an ongoing series that came out in 2016. Only three seasons have premiered, but it has a large following with die-hard fans.

This series focuses on a young boy that disappeared and the investigation around it. Everyone interested then finds themselves involved with supernatural entities, government experiments, and unusual occurrences.

Soon, a young girl seems out of the ordinary appears, but it turns out she has superhuman abilities. They then realize that she may have a connection to the missing boy.

  1. Parks and Recreation

Parks and Recreation can be streamed on Peacock and was released in 2009. It stars Amy Poehler, Nick Offerman, Chris Pratt, and Aubrey Plaza.

This show focuses on the quirks and complications of the Parks Department in Pawnee, Indiana. Leslie Knope’s main goal is to beautify and enhance her town.

The department takes on various projects that never seem to go to plan. However, they are never beaten or battered, thanks to Leslie’s outlook.

  1. Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad came out in 2008 and lasted for five seasons. Today, it can be viewed on Netflix.

The series is set in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It focuses on the life of a former chemistry teacher, Walter White, who was recently diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer.

He struggles to survive and takes matters into his own hands when he decides to produce crystal meth. His former student, Jesse Pinkman, becomes his partner, and they both work to make as much money as possible.

  1. Rick and Morty

Rick and Morty can be watched on Hulu and HBO Max. This adult animated series came out in 2013 and is still being produced today.

Rick Sanchez, a mad scientist, had been missing for almost 20 years. Until one day he finds the home of his daughter and moves in with the family.

Rick makes himself at home and claims the garage as his laboratory. His family becomes concerned with all of the gadgets he begins creating. Eventually, he embarks on many adventures that oftentimes include his grandson, Morty.

  1. Community

Community can be found on both Hulu and Netflix. Originally, it aired in 2009 and continued until 2015.

This show follows a group of misfits that embark on their journey in community college. They each have prior issues and find themselves not quite fitting in.

Until one day, they decide to form a study group. They meet each day and eventually become a tight-knit friend group. The group may not always see eye to eye, but they have an unshakeable bond in the end.

  1. The Umbrella Academy

The Umbrella Academy is a superhero-like series found on Netflix. It has been out since 2019 and currently has two seasons. It’s a great similarity for Harry Potter fans and those that love Harry Potter gifts.

In 1989, 43 babies were randomly born at once to women who were not expecting. Sir Reginald Hargreeves took it upon himself to adopt 7 of the children to raise himself.

He then creates The Umbrella Academy and trains his children to save the world. Unfortunately, as the children grew older they separated.

Until one day, they all reunited over the passing of their father.

  1. You

You is a thriller series that was released in 2018. The next season is set to premiere in October 2021 and is highly anticipated.

Joe Goldberg would do anything for love, literally. One day, Joe meets a woman who is a hopeful writer and eventually develops a crush on her. As the days pass, he starts to obsess over her auto clicker download.

He then uses everything in his power to be close to her, including the internet, social media, and stalking. Joe even goes as far as removing people he doesn’t think deserve to be in her life. His obsessive behavior ultimately becomes his downfall.
