Bangladesh: Passenger Train Collides with Freight Train, 17 People Killed

A passenger train and a freight vehicle collided near Bhairab in Kishoreganj, Bangladesh, killing 17 people and injuring more than 100.

According to the Bangladeshi media, the authorities say that rescue operations are underway to remove the people and bodies trapped in two carriages of the derailed passenger train as a result of the accident.

According to the officials, the bodies of 17 people have been removed from the carriages of the train that suffered the accident, but the death toll is expected to increase.
