Before getting to the heart of this tutorial and explaining how to use Netflix Party, it is necessary to make a necessary introduction regarding the devices compatible with the service in question and the necessary requirements to use it.

Free Netflix accounts that works is only accessible from a computer and is only available as an extension for Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge Chromium and Opera (the latter two browsers support Chrome extensions and are therefore compatible with Netflix Party).

To use the service, it is therefore necessary that all participants in the “synchronized” viewing have downloaded and installed the Netflix Party extension on one of the compatible browsers, but not only tat: they must also have an active Netflix subscription.

How to use Netflix Party on PC and Mac

Having made this necessary initial premise, the time has come to move on to the work. First, start one of the compatible browsers (e.g.,Chrome), connected to the official Netflix Party website, click on the Install Netflix Party button, at the top right, and proceed as indicated below, depending on the browser you are using.

Chrome: to complete the installation of Netflix Party, select the Add to Chrome option and press the Add extension button;

Microsoft Edge based on Chromium: click on the Get and Add extension buttons and wait for the installation of the Netflix Party extension to be completed;

Opera: after clicking on the Install Netflix Party button, if you haven’t already done so, click on the Extension Installation option to install Install Chrome Extensions, the add-on that allows you to install Chrome extensions on Opera. Then click on the Add to opera button, click on OK and select the Install option, to install Netflix Party.

At this point, connect to the official Netflix site and, if you have not already done so, log in to your account. To do this, click on the Login button, at the top right, enter your details in the Email or telephone number and Password fields and click on the Login button; then select your viewing profile.

Once this is done, locate the content you want to watch with your friends, click on the relevant Play button and stop playback by pressing the Pause button. Then click on the Netflix Party icon (the word NP in red, at the top right of the browser window), put the check mark next to the Only i have control option, if you want to prevent content playback control to other users who will watch it with you, and press the Start the party button to create your viewing room.

At the time of writing this guide, Netflix Party is not available as an application for either Android devices or iPhone / iPad.Also, since none of the Netflix Party compatible browsers support extensions on mobile devices, you cannot use the service in question via Chrome, Edge and Firefox either.
