FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 to be Broadcast on Fox Sports

The FIFA Women’s World Cup is an international football tournament contested by the senior women’s national teams of the members of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (), the sport’s international governing body. The tournament is played every four years, with the first edition held in 1991 in China.

The most recent tournament was held in 2015 in Canada, with Germany defeating the United States in the final. The next edition of the tournament will be held in 2019 in France.

The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be the 10th edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup. The quadrennial international women’s football championship contested by the national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It is scheduled to be held from 13 June to 7 July 2023 in Australia. This will be the first FIFA Women’s World Cup to be held in the Asia-Pacific region.

The tournament will be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand. Making it the first FIFA World Cup to be held in more than one country since the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Japan and South Korea. The tournament will also be the first to be held under the expanded 24-team format. Which was approved by the FIFA Council in October 2016.

The final will be held at Eden Park in Auckland, New Zealand. Making it the first time that a FIFA World Cup final will be held at a stadium outside of Europe or the Americas.

In March 2020, it was announced that Fox Sports had acquired the English-language rights to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in the United States. The deal also included the rights to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2021 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 to Feature New Teams

FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 is also set to feature an expanded field of 32 teams. With four new teams set to make their debut at the tournament.

The 2023 edition of the tournament will also be the first to be held in Asia, with China selected as the host nation.

The new teams set to take part in the tournament are Thailand, India, New Zealand and Ecuador.

This will be the first time that the Women’s World Cup has featured more than 28 teams. With the expansion set to increase the number of matches from 52 to 64.

The four new teams will also each be allocated a place in Group A, B, C or D at the tournament.

The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup is also set to take place from July 20 to August 20.
