Here’s an Easy Birthday Cake Recipe for Your Next Celebration

We all love birthdays! It is a time for celebration, singing, wishes, and for many people, lots of colors and balloons. But one of the most important parts of every birthday celebration is a birthday cake.

Birthday cakes come in several shapes, sizes, flavors, and toppings, and nearly everyone has a favorite. But when it comes down to making an actual cake, not many people can do that, so they depend on already-made cakes.

However, there is nothing quite sentimental and special as a homemade birthday cake. If you don’t know how to, an easy birthday cake recipe will help you bake a delicious cake without stress and expertise.

If you want to try out the easy birthday cake recipes, let’s get into the ingredients, and then the preparation process. The ingredients are divided into three; ingredients for cake, decoration, and buttercream.

Ingredients for the cake

225g butter (unsalted and softened) (set aside some for greasing)

4 eggs (free-range)

225g caster sugar

225g self-rising flour

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Ingredients for the buttercream

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

110grams butter (unsalted and melted)

225grams icing sugar

1 tablespoon milk

Ingredients for the decoration

Sweets

Assorted biscuits

Chocolates

Meringues

Sprinkles

Preparation method

1 Preheat your oven to 356F or 180C or gas mark 4.

2 Grease one or several 8-inch round cake tin(s) with butter, and then line the tin with baking paper.

3 Cream butter and sugar in a bowl until you get a fluffy and pale mixture

4 Beat eggs into the bowl one by one until you have completely added the eggs into the batter. If the mixture curdles, include one tablespoon of flour. Measure the vanilla extract and add it in.

5 Add flour into the mixture and mix it properly using a metal or wooden spoon until it blends smoothly and you can’t see any flour.

6 Spoon the batter into the cake pans and ensures it is evenly spread.

7 Use the tip of a spoon or spatula to make a dip in the center of the mix to avoid the cake from getting domed in the middle.

8 Bake your cake in the oven for 25 minutes and check to be sure that the cake springs back when you press the center with your finger.

9 Remove the cake from the oven and let them sit for 10 minutes before taking all the cake out of the pans.

10 Situate the cakes on a rack to let them cool.

Buttercream icing

Get a bowl and sift half of the icing sugar into it. Add the softened butter and beat the mixture until it is fluffy and light.

Beat in the other half of the icing sugar, and then add the milk and vanilla extract while still beating the mixture together.

Turn the cake upside down on a cake stand or board. Spread some of the icings on the bottom of the cake using a spatula or knife. Place the second layer on top of the first and then spread the rest of the icing on the top part of the cake using a swirly motion.

Decorate the cake with whatever you choose; whether sweets, chocolates, sprinkles, or biscuits.
