The Western Suburbs of Sydney offers many things to see and do, either during the day or for an evening out. The trendy suburb of Lidcombe is located conveniently right in the heart of Sydney’s West, so it’s a great area to check out; whether you live in Sydney or are a visitor.

In this article, we’re going to highlight just some of the things you can see and do in Lidcombe and the surrounding areas.

#1 – Fly High At Circus Arts

Right next door to Lidcombe is Homebush Bay and one of the most exhilarating attractions in the area is Circus Arts. Since 1999, Circus Arts has been providing high-flying thrills for the general public. You don’t have to be a circus performer or experienced trapeze artist to get involved in the action.

People of all ages and ability levels are catered for, so whether you’re young or old, experienced or not, try your hand at the trapeze. It’s totally safe and a heck of a lot of fun for everyone. Do something different for your next birthday party or special occasion. Circus classes are a great idea for corporate team bonding sessions as well.

#3 – Spend Some Quiet Time In Remembrance Park

Centrally located in James Street in Lidcombe is Remembrance Park. It’s a quiet and peaceful location right in the heart of the suburb with loads of nearby businesses, shops and places to eat. It’s not a large park but it does have a fenced-in playground for children to amuse themselves while parents kick back on the verdant lawns.

The reason it’s called Remembrance Park is there is actually a war memorial in the park honouring all of those who served in the Vietnam and Korean Wars. Trees and gardens adorn the park and considering it’s right in the CBD, it’s a relaxing place to chill out after lunch or any time of the day.
