Best Way to Feed Betta Fish

Pellets are a very common food for the betta. Those expand when falling into the water. And feeding two or four pellets at a time once or twice a day will be great.

Give your betta a balanced diet food (dried or live food) 1 or 2 days a week. Sometimes overfeeding causes uneaten food to fall in the tank. Those uneaten foods damage the water quality if not removed immediately.

Do Betta Spit Their Food?

This is very common behaviour for any fish, and betta fish do this too. They mainly do that to soften and break the food. Though this is not a matter of concern, keep an eye on it. If you see any sign of diseases, take it to a vet clinic.

If you still want to overcome this situation, stop overfeeding and break the foods into small pieces to eat.

Do Betta Fish Last Long Without Food?

Usually, betta can stay up to two weeks without having food. It’s not a good idea to do it for that long. This may kill your betta.

But diet your betta 1 or 2 days per week to keep the tank clean. Besides, this helps your betta stay healthy.

Cost Of Betta Fish Food

The price of foods depends on brands and quality. If you buy a container of fish pellets, it costa $4 to $8.
